The Zimbabwe National Employment Council for the Transport Operating Industry (NECTOI) would like to express its deepest condolences to the wife, family, friends and Pioneer Cooperation Africa on the untimely death of Mr Ngoneni Francis Masuku, Group Human Resource Director for the Unifreight Pioneer Group. He died on the 1st of March 2013 and was laid to rest at his rural home in Mberengwa on the 5th of March 2013.

A man of integrity and unparalleled vision, Mr Masuku was the Chairman of NECTOI from 2003 to 2009, he was also Chairman of NECTOI HIV and AIDS Committee from 2003 to the time of his untimely demise.

During his tenure as the Chairman of NECTOI he over saw the growth of NECTOI into an efficient and competent National Employment Council (NEC). He was instrumental in the compilation of the HIV and AIDS Policy for the Transport Sector of Zimbabwe. He was the Transport Operators Association HIV and AIDS focal person and assisted in the setting up of Roadside Wellness Centre along Zimbabwe major transport routes. Mr Masuku also over saw the introduction and promotion of HIV and AIDS programmes within the transport sector.

The transport sector has indeed been robbed of a hero who was dedicated to improving the quality of service and the welfare of those in the transport sector. He will be sadly missed. May his soul rest in peace. God Bless.
